About our speaker: Brian Miracle is a 25 year veteran of the wine industry. He caught the “wine bug” while attending the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee where he worked at a local wine shop, and his wine addiction escalated from there. His vast experience in the wine business includes a tenure as Beverage Manager at a boutique supermarket/wine shop, Midwest Sales Manager for Robert Kacher Selections in Chicago, opening a successful wine bar (Balzac Wine Bar, Milwaukee, WI), and as an owner/partner of 3 successful wholesale distributorships. Brian resides in Napa, CA, where he enjoys biking and goofing off.

Please join for a special winemaker dinner with Ehren Jordan of Failla. Founded in 1998, Failla produces cool climate chardonnay, pinot noir, and syrah that showcase Ehren’s love of experimentation. He enjoys coaxing out the grapes’ various incarnations from different climates, soil types, and rootstock. Ehren’s viticultural training in France, specifically the Northern Rhône Valley, greatly influences his farming and winemaking choices. We will begin the evening with an informal tasting of his Sonoma Coast chardonnay and pinot noir bottlings, followed by a dinner featuring several different single-vineyard wines. Finally, we will end the meal with a zinfandel from Ehren’s new project, Day Wines, which focuses primarily on old-vine Sonoma County zinfandel. The wines will be paired with a special menu crafted by chefs Mark Sullivan and Steven Pelas.

The reception will be followed by our new BYO-style Collectors Dinner in the company of the participating winemakers.
