We are very excited to pair with Table 26 in Palm Beach as one of their wine dinners this summer for their "Dine for a Cause" wines series. It is their first of the series this summer and Chef Amit Jain is very excited.

The charity that the wine dinner will be benefiting is one close to our hearts. 211 Helpline, a crisis call centers to help people in our own community with crisis related issues.

Host Farmers: Matt & Jacy Rothschiller, Gallatin Valley Botanical, Bozeman, MT
Guest Chefs: Davey & Kierst Rabinowitz, bisl, Bozeman, MT

Our ongoing quest to find new and interesting dinner sites takes us to the further fields of Bozeman, Montana, where Jim and his cowboy hat will feel right at home. Gallatin Valley Botanical is a certified organic farm on the fertile bottomlands of Rocky Creek. Farmers Matt and Jacy Rothschiller grow about 150 varieties of produce on their twenty acre spread, and market their harvest to summer and winter CSAs, twelve restaurants, the Community Food Co-op, and two summer and one winter farmers markets in Bozeman. Guest chefs Davey and Kierst Rabinowitz of bisl fell in love in the kitchen. Their love will be right there on the plate when we set our table on the farm.

Host Farmer: Scott Endres, Tangletown Gardens, Plato, MN (Minneapolis Area)
Guest Chef: Jim Christiansen, Heyday, Minneapolis, MN

The best of the best. Last year, Chef Jim Christiansen showed us how it’s done. It can’t possibly get any better when it comes to dining on the farm; so creative, so beautiful, so delicious. Which explains why Jim is a 2017 James Beard Award semi-finalist for Best Chef: Midwest. This year, he is showing us a new farm site, Tangletown Gardens. Scott Endres and Dean Engelmann are farm boys. They grew up on farms and learned to love and appreciate plants, animals and growing things. As adults, their love for the soil has expanded to the care and preservation of the land for future generations. Their farm has a lot going on from one end to the other. Before sitting down at the table, we will explore and take in the story.

Host Farmer: Ken Dunn, City Farm, Chicago, IL
Guest Chef: John Manion, El Che Bar, Chicago, IL

Farmer Ken Dunn has made his mark in Chicago. City Farm is a wonder. Moving from place to place, the farm brings new life to empty lots, growing all kinds of food for the neighborhood, creating new jobs, teaching new skills and bringing communities together. Ken tills fields of transitory beauty, beauty that feeds people. It has been more than a year since the new farm site was planted. The summer harvest will be bountiful. Our feast, prepared by Chef John Manion of El Che Bar, will be Argentine by way of Chicago; wood-fired al asador with locally sourced vegetables and grilled meats, cooked on custom-built grills and chapas.

Markegard Family Grass-Fed | Jenner Headlands
Thursday, November 2, 2017 @ 1PM
$225

Host Farmers: Erik & Doniga Markegard, Markegard Family Grass-Fed | Jenner Headlands, Jenner, CA
(Sonoma County)
Guest Chef: Ryan McIlwraith, Bellota, San Francisco, CA

The Jenner Headlands are spectacularly beautiful but have notoriously difficult weather - except at the end of October and the very beginning of November. The wind will calm, allowing us to place our table on a hillside with a spectacular view of the sea. The Markegards are profoundly knowledgeable about ranching and care for the land. Our first dinner this year was at their ranch in Pescadero; now at the tail end of our season, we come to their Jenner spread. Bellota was Eater SF’s 2016 Restaurant of the Year. Chef Ryan will bring the regional cuisine of Spain to the OITF table.
